Whitehat Virtual Technologies Announces Virtualization & Mobility Conference Featuring Citrix Training - October 7th, Austin, Texas

Whitehat Virtual Technologies will host their annual Virtualization & Mobility Conference (VMXpo), October 7, 2014 at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center in Austin, Texas. Advances in desktop virtualization, cloud, and mobility technology will be featured, with guest speakers and a who’s-who of leading IT hardware and software companies, along with ample opportunities for business networking.

Whitehat CEO Val King will kick-off the event at 8:00 am, with energetic and entertaining, nationally recognized Citrix and desktop virtualization expert Douglas A. Brown to deliver the keynote address. Brown’s knowledge of the historical development of desktop virtualization, and his profound insight into the continually evolving direction and emerging technologies of the IT industry, helps attendees to better plot their own course and the course of their company, and to keep on top of the newest technologies in desktop virtualization and mobility. Also adding depth and interest to the event will be a guest appearance by “technology evangelist” Thomas Poppelgaard. Poppelgaard is a subject matter expert on remote graphics, where he helps companies all over the world virtualize 2D/3D graphics in the cloud.

The annual Citrix XenMaster Contest provides a format for Citrix technicians to test their skills by repairing challenging Citrix glitches, and to compete for the VMXpo XenMaster trophy, and along with it a $100 gift card prize.

Whitehat partners and sponsors of the event include the most-widely recognized names in desktop virtualization, VDI, networking, graphics, and mobility including Dell, Citrix, NVIDIA, AppSense, Goliath Technologies, RES Software, Atlantis, Microsoft, and VMware.

The knowledge gained through Ken Avram’s years of experience and expertise in Citrix will be shared with all who attend the free Citrix training classes during VMXpo 2014. Avram’s experience includes clients from a wide diversity of industries including oil and gas, automotive, health care, airport services and transportation, banking and finance, manufacturing and warehouse. In addition to five Microsoft certifications, Avram’s 17 Citrix certifications, including Citrix Metaframe Server Administration, Edgesight, Password Manager, Citrix Access Gateway, numerous Citrix XenApp certifications, XexDesktop, XexServer, and more, make him one of the leading technicians/instructors in the industry.

The 2013 VMXpo was well-attended, and succeeded in enriching the knowledge base and skill level of all in attendance. This year, VMXpo promises to provide even more technical expertise, skill development, and practical value for business owners, IT consulting firms, Citrix technicians, and for all those interested in Citrix certification. In the rapidly progressing field of desktop virtualization and mobility, competitive advantage needs to be continuously maintained. VMXpo helps all in attendance to keep pace with technological developments in desktop virtualization and mobility.
